A WOMAN was ordered to pay more than £1,500 after she broke a noise abatement notice.
Jozefne Szatmari, of Napier Road, Barkerend, was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court last month.
She was charged with two counts of contravening/failing to comply with abatement notice.
Between January 21 and January 30 this year and between February 8 and 11, having being served with the notice, Szatmari failed to “prohibit the playing of loud amplified music at such levels as to cause a statutory nuisance at properties” within the vicinity of her property.
Both offences were proved in her absence on July 12.
She was fined £660, ordered to pay costs of £787 and a victim surcharge of £66.
The court also ordered various speakers to be forfeited and destroyed.
