A CARE home in the Bradford district enjoyed a visit with a difference this week.
Abels Minis, based in Scholes, Cleckheaton, visited Bingley Wingfield Care Home.
Residents had the chance to pet hens, rabbits, guinea pigs, cockerels and chicks.
Sue Sroka, activities manager at the home, said: “The residents and staff loved petting them, combing their hair with the brushes.
“The animals were so well behaved, the chicks liked to stay together and loved perching on shoulders.
“The residents loved the visit, they were beaming, one lady loved having the chicks on her shoulder, it was as if the chicks knew they were making somebody happy.”
Sue will run the London Marathon this year to raise money for the activities fun and Dementia UK.
