A DOG-friendly pub in Bradford will refuse to serve owners who wish to sit outside amid the nationwide heatwave.

It comes after The Old Glen House, in Baildon, saw several dogs struggling in the heat last month.

The temperature today is predicted to be a very similar day to Saturday with more in the way of cloud.

The pub has advised owners to walk their dogs either in the morning or the evening.

During the day, temperatures are set to touch well above average from 15 to 30C or perhaps even 31C in a light/moderate SSE to SE breeze.

The Old Glen House will serve punters who decide to bring their dogs inside the pub.

A Facebook post, written by landlady Louise Johnson, on their page said: "It’s set to be a scorcher again these next few days.

"The best advice would be to leave your dog home during the day and walk them early in the morning or later on when the temperature is lower and pavements cooler.

"Please be aware that service will be refused to anyone wanting to sit outside with a dog through the day over the next few days.

"If you must bring your dog with you we will only serve you if you stay inside with your dog out of the heat.

"Sorry if this offends anyone but during the last heatwave we saw so many dogs struggling in the heat.

"Let’s keep our four-legged friends safe."
