A YOUNG woman has received a criminal record but has been handed no direct punishment for assaulting another female at a pub.
Ellie Thomas, 21, of Osterley Grove in Ravenscliffe, Bradford, pleaded guilty to assault by beating last Thursday at Kirklees Magistrates' Court.
She originally pleaded not guilty to the offence on April 6.
Thomas assaulted Ella Atkinson-Morrow on December 4 last year at The Victoria Hotel, off Victoria Road in Eccleshill.
The 21-year-old was given a conditional discharge, lasting for six months.
This means the offence is on her criminal record but no further action will be taken unless she commits another offence in the next half a year.
The court also ordered Thomas to pay £222.
She will pay £50 a month from August 18.
