Officers have so far recovered cash and suspected Class A drugs as part of the searches which will be ongoing for some time.

Police have also been undertaking enhanced foot patrols on the Holme Wood estate to reassure residents.

Programme Precision itself was formed to target serious and organised criminality in West Yorkshire and currently has specialist units in all five of the force's policing districts.

The teams work with local officers and wider force resources to specifically target criminal networks operating in the hearts of communities as well as their accomplices at a regional level.

DCI Andy Farrell, of Bradford District Police, said: “Our officers are continuing their enquiries at four addresses in the city today after making four arrests and seizing cash and suspected Class A drugs as part of what has clearly been a significant policing operation.

“Drugs crime is a scourge in our communities and I can promise residents that the force is determined to tackle organise crime and drugs gangs operating in and on our estates.

“I hope the arrests today demonstrate our ongoing resolve to take action against criminal networks.”

He added: “We look to bring all our resources to bear to break up such organized criminal activity and continue to appeal to communities to come forwards with information about offences such as drug dealing on their streets.

“Reports can be made to Bradford Police or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and all intelligence is examined.”
