A MAN has appeared in court for speeding on a Bradford motorway.
Omer Raja, 35, of Alexander Gardens, Salford, Greater Manchester, faced one charge of exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway – automatic camera device.
Raja was clocked driving a motor vehicle on a special road, the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, subject to restrictions, the M606/M62 at a speed exceeding 50mph – at 83mph. This offence took place on November 12, 2021.
Raja was handed six licence points, fined £692 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £69 victim surcharge.
A collection order was made by the court.
Raja pleaded guilty to the speeding charge and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 22, 2022.
