NEW announcements are set to be made at a Bradford shopping centre, as the future of one of its stores remains uncertain.

The Broadway says it is set to make a number of announcements throughout this summer, with question marks around an outdoor clothes retailer at the centre.

Signs saying ‘Closing Down: All Must Stock Must Go’ remain on the front windows of the Trespass store within the shopping centre.

However, bosses at The Broadway were unable to provide any further details on any potential closing date of the outdoor clothing retailer’s store. But they added more details will be shared in the upcoming weeks. It is understood the closing down signs have been on the Trespass shop windows since late last year.

Trespass opened a 1,800 sq ft unit in the centre in November 2018.

Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway, Bradford, said: “The Broadway is making a number of new announcements throughout the summer.

“We are currently unable to provide further details on the Trespass store, but more information will be shared within the upcoming weeks.”

The Telegraph & Argus has contacted Trespass for a comment and they have yet to respond.

It has already been an action-packed summer for the shopping centre.

The site has launched a month-long exclusive food and drink offers to dine out on throughout the mall.

Throughout August, shoppers can take advantage of huge discounts, free food and upgrade to meals. Voucher booklets are available from outside the centre’s food court, River Island and H Samuel.

The launch of the voucher booklet is part of the centre’s ‘Summer Surprises’ campaign which includes six weeks of surprise entertainment each Wednesday and Thursday.

The entertainment is only revealed the day prior to it taking place.

Chilli Flames, which opened at The Broadway in June creating 20 new jobs, is offering 10 per cent off all orders. The Afro-Portuguese flamed grilled chicken concept restaurant is located by the Charles Street entrance.

The Broadway features a number of top High Street names inside its mall including WH Smith, Boots, HMV and toy retailer The Entertainer.

It also features a food court with big names featured such as KFC, Taco Bell and Burger King.

The £260 million The Broadway centre was officially opened by X-Factor singer-turned West End star, Alexandra Burke in November 2015.

The Broadway is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm and on Sundays between 11am and 5pm.
