A MAN has appeared in court charged with being in possession of a metal bar at a Bradford police station.
Jack Miller-Taplin, 18, of Milner Road, Baildon, faced one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Without lawful authority, or reasonable excuse, he had with him in a public place, namely Trafalgar House Police Station, Nelson Street, Bradford, an offensive weapon, namely a metal bar. The offence took place on April 28, 2022.
Miller-Taplin was handed a community order for the charge, which included him being ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work in the community over the next 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
A collection order was made and the court will apply for deductions from his benefit.
Miller-Taplin pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 13, 2022.
