ROYAL Mail has issued a statement following complaints of delayed mail in some areas of Bradford.

The mail company highlighted it was having resourcing issues in its Bradford North branch, which it is in the process of addressing.

People complained they weren't getting their post daily, and only getting post once every two or three days, meaning urgent letters were not getting to them in time.

A spokesperson for Royal Mail said: “While the vast majority of mail is delivered safely and on time, we are very sorry for the delays that some customers are reporting locally.

“These delays have been caused by some resourcing issues at our Bradford North Delivery Office, which we are in the process of urgently addressing.

“Anyone who has concerns over the delivery of their mail should contact the Royal Mail customer service team on 03457 740 740 or via the Royal Mail website www.royalmail.com.”
