A MAN has appeared in court after being clocked at almost 90mph in a 50mph zone of a Bradford motorway.

James Taylor, 33, of Wheatlands, Ilkley, faced one charge of exceeding a 50mph limit and was caught by manned equipment. 

He was caught driving a motor vehicle on the M606 south at 87mph in a 50mph section of the motorway. The offence happened on November 20 last year.

He was handed six driving licence points, fined £670 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £67 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was also made by the court at the sentencing hearing.

Taylor pleaded guilty to the one charge he faced and was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 4.
