A MAN who threatened to 'gouge out' the eyes of the next woman he saw has been jailed.

Salim Ullah, 32, of no fixed address, has been jailed for a total of 26 weeks after being charged with two offences.

In the first offence, Ullah was committed to prison for 26 weeks for racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress – words/writing. This took place at Bradford Royal Infirmary on July 8.

Ullah was also committed to prison for one week, to run concurrently, for indecent behaviour at a police station.

It happened at Trafalgar House Police Station, Bradford, also on July 8.

Court documents say he made threats to "gouge the next women's eyes out that you see" and another to "smash his head in".

Ullah pleaded guilty to both offences and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 13, 2022.

He was also ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge.
