PEOPLE across Bradford are being invited to have their say on two key consultations that were launched early this week.
The ‘good food strategy’ and the ‘physical activity strategy’ consultations are now live.
The food strategy aims to transform how food is produced and consumed in Bradford and to understand the impact this has on people's health and the environment.
It also aims to reduce health inequalities, improve health and wellbeing and to create and maintain a secure food supply chain that strengthens the economy in Bradford.
The strategy will be led by a new district-wide sustainable food partnership, which is in the process of being formed.
The ‘physical activity strategy’ aims to make Bradford a place where it’s easy for everyone to move more, sit less and be active every day.
Nearly 40 per cent of adults and 60 per cent of children in the district are not active enough to meet the Chief Medical Officer's recommendations and Bradford Council plans to develop a district where it is easier for everyone to be active and realise the benefits of physical activity.
The consultations are live and close on August 31. To take part visit https://mylivingwell.co.uk/news-post/physical-activity-strategy-and-food-strategy
