THE proposed operators of a city centre car sales site hope to amend plans that were approved just a few months ago.
In May a planning application to convert a Council-owned car park on Paradise Street, on the outskirts of Bradford city centre, into a car sales site was approved.
Applicant Sakhwat Mehmood planned to lease the little used car park – which is earmarked for a future housing development, from the Council for a period of two years.
Originally the application also included a modular office building.
But officers said the planned building would have “visual amenity implications that would have led to a refusal of the application".
Plans were amended to remove the building, and the application was approved.
But now a new application has been submitted to the Council, which will include the modular office building.
The application says: “It is not possible to run a business from the site without some form of accommodation for staff.”
A decision is expected next month.
