Councillor Zafar Ali (Labour, Keighley Central) has urged anyone with helpful information to come forwards.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus, Cllr Ali said: “It’s important if anybody has seen this accident, they should co-operate with police.

“We should be coming forward whenever we see something similar. There are a very good many people who do that in the Keighley community.

“We need to be mindful of the community, children, elders. It’s paramount to me.”
