TWO VEHICLES have been impounded by police after causing damage to Ilkley Moor.
Bradford Council's Countryside and Rights of Way team reported the two illegal off-road vehicles were being driven on the moor, causing damage to a path.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police’s Operation Steerside removed and later impounded them.
The drivers are yet to be identified, and enquiries are ongoing.
The Countryside and Rights of Way team said: “Two illegal off-road vehicles have damaged the path and habitat on Ilkley Moor.
“Thanks to West Yorkshire Police’s Operation Steerside for removing and impounding them so swiftly.
"Enquiries are ongoing to identify owners and offences.
“We are looking to prosecute for criminal damage.
“Don’t do this”, the organisation warned others.
