MAJOR roadworks along a popular route in Pudsey will see road closures put in place for 11 days.

Richardshaw Lane, which connects drivers to Stanningley bypass, Stanningley and Pudsey town centre - will be closed from 8am on August 1 to 5pm on August 11.

First bus will be diverting its 9/9A and 16/16A services via Bradford Road, A647 Ring Road before returning to its normal route.

The 91 bus service is diverting via Swinnow Lane, Swinnow Road and Lowtown in both directions.

The road closures are due to water main work completed by Yorkshire Water.

The AA’s traffic section reads: “Road closed due to water main work on B6155 Richardshaw Lane both ways from B6157 Town Street to the Railway Bridge.”
