A LARGE sword was seized and a cannabis package was thrown out of a window of a property as police arrested a man for drug offences.
Officers from Bradford South attended an address in the BD4 area of the district as they looked for a man wanted for theft offences.
While police were at the address, officers say ‘a package came flying out of the back window. It was found to be a quantity of cannabis’.
The man police wanted for the initial theft offences was not there, but officers found more cannabis at the property along with equipment used for drug dealing.
During their search, officers also found a Sur-Ron electric motorcycle, which had previously been involved in anti-social behaviour and offending on the Holmewood estate. The motorbike was seized.
A large sword and other bladed weapons were also recovered and seized.
A male was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B controlled drugs with all the drugs and equipment seized. He was also arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon under the Offensive Weapons Act 2019.
