CREWS were called to a house fire in Bradford this morning.

The blaze, at a terraced house in King’s Road, at the junction of Queens Road, started in the attic.

Crews from Bradford, Fairweather Green and Shipley Fire Stations were called to the incident at 8.30am today.

An aerial appliance was also used in the incident to check the roof of the affected property.

Police also attended as the part of King’s Road where the affected house is, was taped off to motorists with diversions in place.

A marked police car and one marked police van, alongside uniformed officers, were also at the scene this morning.

No-one was injured or suffered any smoke inhalation in the fire.

Fire investigators and a representative from Northern Power were at the scene to establish a cause of the blaze.

 

First West Yorkshire was forced to divert buses due to the fire, tweeting later in the morning: “Road is now closed in both directions. Services are diverting via Bolton Road and Canal Road.”

But First tweeted at 1.35pm saying normal services on the routes around King's Road were back to normal.
