A MAN has avoided jail after assaulting police officers in Bradford.
Jason Roddis, 34, of Vignola Terrace, Bradford, appeared in court charged with a number of assaults on emergency workers.
In the first offence, Roddis was committed to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for assaulting a police officer on Pasture Lane, Bradford. He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation.
Roddis was also committed to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for an assault on another police officer at the same location on the same day. He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation.
Roddis was committed to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for a third offence of assault by beating of an emergency worker, a police officer. This also took place on Pasture Lane, Bradford, on May 22, 2022. He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation.
Roddis was re-sentenced for an assault on another police officer at Thornton Road, Bradford, on June 9, 2022. He was committed to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for this charge.
He pleaded guilty to the assaulting an emergency worker charges and was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 20.
