A BRADFORD man has appeared in court for being drunk and disorderly in a Norwich street and damaging a police prisoner van cell.

Jacob Taylor, 28, of Park Road, Thackley, appeared in court charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place and criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.

He was found guilty, while drunk, of disorderly behaviour, in a public place, namely Prince of Wales Road, outside Lace gentleman’s club in Norwich, on March 2, 2022.

He was fined £66, ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 victim surcharge for the offence.

In the second charge, criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, at Norwich, without lawful excuse, he damaged a police prisoner van cell, to an unknown value belonging to Norfolk Constabulary intending to destroy, or damage such property, or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.

Taylor was ordered to pay £50 compensation for this charge. This offence also took place on March 2, 2022.

A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.

He pleaded to both charges when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 14, 2022.
