Mohsin Hussain, 31, of Carlisle Terrace, Manningham, has been charged with causing death by driving whilst uninsured, West Yorkshire Police said yesterday.

He has been bailed to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on September 9, 2022.

Tributes, flowers, balloons and teddies were left at the scene in memory of little Malakye.

Two bouquets of flowers were attached to the St Stephen's Road sign.

There were also two balloons tied to the sign - one of which depicted a large yellow sun with a smiley face.

Both bunches of flowers had tributes attached to them. One of them was a heartfelt message to the family of the seven-year-old boy.

It said: "Deeply sorry for your loss, no amount of words can express the pain that you're all going through.

"Sleep tight Little Angel. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.

"You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

"Fly high, good night, God bless.”

Another touching message said: "R.I.P. beautiful boy. Always in our hearts.

"Sleep tight baby."

A message left on a fundraising page for Malakye's funeral read: "Our 7 year old baby Malakye was tragically taken from us on Tuesday, August 11. We are asking if anyone can help with costs towards giving our beautiful boy the funeral he deserves.

"This is a very upsetting and distressing time for us, Malakye was taken from us far too soon. Any help will be so gratefully accepted.

"Sleep tight our little man."

Meanwhile one member of staff from Bowling Park Primary School said: “I will never forget your beautiful smile and how you always shouted 'Hi Miss' whenever I saw you around school.

“You will always be remembered.”

Another member of staff, using the name Miss F, said: “It's a pleasure to have known Malakye and see that cheeky smile around school. He will be missed dearly by his friends and teachers alike.”

The community raised a grand total of £3,150 for his funeral.
