A POPULAR choir from Bradford took their tunes to Knaresborough Castle as part of Harrogate’s Summer of Music.

Surrounded by views of the ruined fortress overlooking the River Nidd, The All Together Now Choir performed songs such as Don't Stop and Hallelujah.

Led by director Chris Kemp, the choir was a collaboration between All Together Now’s branches in Baildon, Bingley, Skipton and Harrogate.

Almost £60 was collected for one of the choir’s chosen charities, Harrogate Easier Living Project (HELP!).

The audience clapped and sang along despite the rainy weather on Saturday afternoon.

Choir member Lynne Bates said: “It was a wonderful and emotional experience to be able to sing with choir members from all our branches.'

Another singer Sam Walker said: “The jokes and laughter flying about as the rain came down was really something to hear and see. The smile never left my face.”
