BUSINESS leaders from across the Bradford district heard motivational tips from a sporting legend.
Jason Robinson, former rugby league and rugby union player, and a key member of England’s World Cup-winning team in 2003, was guest speaker at the launch of the Bradford City Business Club.
Jason, who grew up in Leeds and played for Wigan before transferring codes to rugby union for England, inspired around 120 business leaders at the event held at Valley Parade.
In a candid talk about his life, he spoke openly about the difficulties and challenges he faced growing up, before recalling memories from the historic 2003 campaign.
He said: “The best advice I can give anyone today is to remain focused on what they want and follow their dreams.
“There’ll undoubtedly be bumps along the way, but you need to believe that with hard work, passion, and determination, anything is possible.”
Mick Russell, commercial executive at Bradford City, said: “The Bradford City Business Club aims to give local businesspeople the chance to meet, share knowledge and advice and forge long-lasting partnerships.
“We look forward to future meetings and to consistently growing our membership.”
