A BRADFORD district pub is holding a fundraising event in memory of a Baildon woman.

Charlie Booth, 27, of Albert Road, Saltaire, has been charged with the murder of Lauren Jade Howe, 26.

Lauren died in hospital on Sunday following an incident on Aire Way earlier the same day.

Booth made his first appearance at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 27 in connection with the case.

The New Inn on Crag Road, Shipley, is holding a fundraising event in her memory on Sunday, July 31, from 12.30pm.

The event will include singers Emma Bowles between 5pm and 6pm and Jason Carr performing from 6.30pm and karaoke. The fundraiser will also include children’s face painting, tombola and a raffle with residents and businesses donating items.

All proceeds from the pub’s event will go to Lauren’s family.

Christina Robinson, pub landlady, said: “The community has really rallied after what has happened.”
