A POLICE investigation has been launched following reports that a male suffered a serious sexual assault in Bradford city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are investigating reports of a serious sexual assault on Albion Street in the early hours of Saturday morning (around 3am).

"The male victim is being supported by specially trained officers.

"Enquiries are ongoing by Bradford District Safeguarding Team."

A police presence had been in place on Albion Street over the weekend while police carried out enquiries.
