A MAN has appeared in court for driving while disqualified and speeding on a major Bradford district road.

Vaqas Ul Hussain, 38, of Duchy Avenue, Bradford, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and speeding.

He drove a motor vehicle while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence on Sir Fred Hoyle Way/Bingley Bypass, Bingley, on May 2, 2022.

He was handed six licence points; fined £150; ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, plus a £34 victim surcharge. 

On the same day, he exceeded the road's 50mph speed limit and was fined £100.

A collection order was made by the court, which will also apply for benefit deductions. 

Ul Hussain was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 20.
