A FURTHER nine Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported over the last seven days in Bradford hospitals.
According to the latest NHS figures, three further deaths were reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust between July 14 and 20. One further death was recorded on each of the following dates: July 17, 18 and 19.
Meanwhile, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust recorded six further death during the same period. One further death was recorded on July 20, two on July 17 and three on July 19.
The total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district now stands at 1,266 - 894 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals; 370 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Nationally, a further 594 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 have died over the same seven-day period.
Covid death reported is now published once per week on a Thursday, rather than every weekday, according to the NHS official figures. The daily announced files containing reported deaths in the 24-hour time period to 4pm the day before the daily publication date ceased.
NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.”
