HOMEBUILDER Barratt Developments Yorkshire West has raised £34,000 for children’s cancer charity Candlelighters.

The local homebuilder has supported Candlelighters for five years and has raised money through a range of activities.

Candlelighters is a charity which supports children and their families who are affected by childhood cancer in Yorkshire.

This year the Yorkshire West branch of Barratt completed an Ale Trail, a boat race and the redecoration of Waverley House.

Chris Salt, partnerships manager from Candlelighters, said: “We are so grateful for the ongoing support from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West. We rely on donations to ensure we can continue to offer the much-needed support that families across Yorkshire require.”

David Coe, land director from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, added: “The charity supports children with cancer and their families 365 days a year, so we are determined to offer as much support as possible to ensure they can continue to deliver their exceptional services.”
