A BRADFORD doctor has been named as a patron of a national animal group.
Dr Amir Khan, who regularly appears on daytime TV shows including Good Morning Britain and ITV’s Lorraine, has been appointed as a new patron for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.
He said: “British hedgehogs should be a common sight across the UK, but sadly these precious creatures are in decline.
We are delighted to announce that @DrAmirKhanGP is our lovely new patron! We look forward to working with him and our other patrons to help spread the hedgehoggy word! https://t.co/wGWbAL7jX1 pic.twitter.com/DMcBim5odU

“There is nothing like the feeling of seeing them thrive in their natural environments and we all now have a role to play in keeping these wonderful animals from fading away into our history books.
“I am lucky enough to have hedgehogs in my garden and want to encourage others to make their gardens and streets as hedgehog friendly as possible.”
