THERE is a major power cut in the Oxenhope area.
Northern Powergrid says 170 premises are affected and power is not expected to be restored until lunchtime.
"We are facing a major power cut in this area," a spokesperson said.
"We are working towards restoring it as early as possible.
It has been caused by an "unexpected problem with the cables or equipment" serving the area.
To report an emergency, people should call 105.
Oxenhope CofE Primary School will be closed today due to the issues.
The school said: "Unfortunately due to a village-wide power cut, we have made the difficult decision to close the school today.
"The power cut is still ongoing but we hope that full power will be restored and the school will reopen as normal tomorrow.
"We are very sorry for the inconvenience to everyone."
