A MAN has been jailed for an assault at a Bradford shopping centre.
Jordan Spalding, 20, of HMP Doncaster, faced one charge of assault by beating.
He was convicted of assaulting a man at The Broadway shopping centre, Bradford. The offence took place on September 8, 2021.
Spalding was committed to prison for six weeks for the charge. He was jailed as the offence was deemed so serious because of a ‘deliberate attack on a public servant carrying out public duties’ and the offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.
He was also ordered to pay £100 and a £128 victim surcharge for this assault charge.
Spalding was found guilty and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 14, 2022.
