A DRIVER has been banned after being caught speeding on a major Bradford district road.
Mohammed Ali, 24, of Smithville, Riddlesden, Keighley, faced one charge of exceeding a 50mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order – manned equipment.
He was caught driving a motor vehicle on Sir Fred Hoyle Way/Bingley Bypass in its section with a 50mph speed limit at a speed of 76mph. This offence took place on April 10, 2021.
Ali was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for six months. The driving ban was obligatory due to repeat offending.
He was also fined £770 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £77 victim surcharge.
Ali was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 1, 2022.
