SOMEONE rang the 999 emergency line...because they had an issue with a mobile phone that they bought from a shop.
West Yorkshire Police's Contact Management Centre shared details of the call to highlight the importance of using 999 for emergency calls only.
The team often tweets some of the more unusual phone calls they receive from the general public.
If you have an issue with a phone you purchased from a shop, then take it back with the receipt. You shouldn't be ringing 999 about this.... #Not999

In its latest example, the team said: "If you have an issue with a phone you purchased from a shop, then take it back with the receipt. You shouldn't be ringing 999 about this.... #Not999."
Previous calls to the contact centre have included someone called 999 to ask them to book some driving lessons for them. Another 999 caller wanted to order a pizza from the line.
