A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a car flipped over onto its roof in Bradford last night.

She was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary with head injuries following the incident on Harrogate Road, which happened not far from the Co-op Food store.

The extent of her injuries are unclear at this stage.

The incident was called in shortly after 10.30pm, and fire crews from Bradford and Cleckheaton fire stations attended.

It is reported that there was only one vehicle involved, and a West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson suggested that the woman was the driver of the said vehicle.

The road was blocked and diversions were put in place after the incident.

West Yorkshire Police and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service – who were also in attendance – have also been contacted for comment.
