Community groups who are helping Bradford people look after their hearts are invited to apply for a £10,000 grant.

Heart Research UK is offering the fund to new and innovative projects which reduce the risk of heart disease in their area.

The Healthy Hearts grant is used to work preventatively within communities that may be marginalised or may not have access to health initiatives.

Projects should deliver health initiatives such as cooking skills, healthy eating and accessible exercise.

Applicants also need to show how they promote mental wellbeing and encourage people to be active.

The grants are only available to not-for-profit organisations, including charities, community groups, voluntary organisations and sports groups.

The deadline for applications in the Yorkshire area is August 15, 2022.
