A BRADFORD doctor has urged parents to ask healthcare professionals rather than people on social media if they have questions on vaccinations for their children.
Dr Amir Khan spoke on national TV about how childhood immunisation rates nationally and globally have fallen.
He says UK Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) uptake rates in children aged under-five are below the World Health Organisation target of 95 per cent coverage needed to achieve and sustain measles elimination.

Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Dr Amir said: “We have got to work with families to get that confidence up in childhood immunisations.
“If you have questions on vaccines then that’s absolutely fine. Just ask healthcare professionals, don’t ask Susan or Fred on Facebook, they don’t know the answers.”
