A MAN has been jailed for stealing shampoo from a Bradford district shop.
Lewis Heckles, 24, of Parkwood Drive, Keighley, faced a string of theft from a shop offences.
He was committed to prison for 16 weeks for stealing seven units of Head and Shoulders shampoo, worth of a total of £41.93, from Boots, Queensway, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on June 23, 2022. He was also ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge.
Heckles was jailed because the sentence was deemed so serious because it was aggravated by his record of previous offending.
Heckles was committed to prison for 16 wereks, to run concurrently, for stealing 14 Oral B toothpastes, worth £70, from Boots, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on June 27, 2022. He was committed to prison for 16 weeks, to run concurrently, for stealing two L’Oreal foundations, two Collection make-up kits, worth £37.96, from Boots, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on July 3, 2022. Asda, Shipley, on June 18, 2022.
Heckles was committed to prison for 16 weeks, to run concurrently, for stealing two bottles of Smirnoff vodka, two bottles of Jack Daniels, worth £106, from Heckles pleaded guilty to all of the charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 8, 2022.
