POLICE were called to investigate the sudden death of a man in the Bradford district today.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 6.16am today officers were called to a sudden death at Alva Terrace, Shipley.

"The death of the man, who was believed to be in his seventies, is being treated as non-suspicious.

"A file is being prepared for the coroner."

A police cordon was in place this morning and there was a large police presence in the Valley Road area of Shipley.

A number of police vehicles, including a van and two cars, were scrambled to the scene near some cars parked outside flats.

One passer-by said it looked as though a serious discovery had been made.
