A street in Bradford is set to be filled with carnival music, Carribbean food and joy this weekend.

The Dominica Association of Bradford, found on Worthington Street, is hosting its annual family street party between 2pm and 7pm on Sunday, July 17.

A spokesperson for the event said: “There will be entertainment provided for all, competitions and games for every generation.

“A day to make you smile, with carnival music, Caribbean food, and positive family fun.”

The event will raise funds for the association’ Elders Group, aimed at helping people aged 70 to 93 exercise, meet up and go on trips each week.

Money will used to take the elders on a seaside trip after months of isolation throughout the pandemic and lockdowns.
