A BRADFORD woman has appeared in court charged with failing to provide passenger information on her locator form on arrival in England.

Rifat Jehan, 56, of Waverley Road, landed at Manchester Airport terminal one on March 2, 2021, from outside the common travel area, namely Doha. She failed, without reasonable excuse, to provide passenger information on her locator form on arrival in England.

Jehan was fined £1,100 and ordered to pay a £190 victim surcharge and £85 costs for the offence.

In the second charge, failing to possess a coronavirus testing package on arrival in England, Jehan was fined £1,100. This offence also took place at terminal one at Manchester Airport on March 2, 2021.

She was sentenced at Greater Manchester Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The passenger locator forms required people to fill in travel details, their address in the UK and vaccination status were scrapped by the UK Government from March 18, 2022.
