A BRADFORD doctor has given tips and health advice to try to stay cool during the ongoing heatwave.
Dr Amir Khan has spoken of how everyone needs to work together as an extreme heat warning is in place for many parts of England, including Bradford, this Sunday and next Monday. Temperatures in Bradford are set to reach 30C next Monday, according to the Met Office.
His health tips for the heatwave urge people to drink plenty of water, eat foods with high water content including salads and fruit, and do not go out in the sun during its daily peak time of 11am to 3pm.

Dr Amir also urges people to draw their curtains during the hot spell when the sun is shining.
Speaking on today’s Good Morning Britain, Dr Amir said: “We have got to take action to keep cool.
“Make sure we check on the most vulnerable.
“It’s really important that we really work together in this heatwave and look after the most vulnerable in our society.
“I never thought I would see a level four heatwave warning in my lifetime.
“All of this is because of lack of action on climate change. We have got to do something about that.”
