It’s not just Calderdale – it’s CultureDale too!
A new brand showcasing Calderdale’s unique culture has been unveiled, to continue the development of the borough’s growing profile as a vibrant cultural destination, says the borough’s council.
In the year pre-COVID lockdown, tourism was making a major contribution, with the international success of the BBC/HBO television series Gentleman Jack lending its name to the impact.
With a stated goal of the historic Piece Hall at Halifax being to drive the local economy by pulling in visitors, the new branding aims to step up promotion of Calderdale, the council encouraging businesses and events to use it.
Branding has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund’s Welcome Back fund, as recovery from the pandemic gets under way.
