FOUR fire engines and two aerial units were required to extinguish a house fire in the attic of a Bradford home last night.

Two appliances from Bradford Fire Station, and one each from Fairweather Green and Shipley, were called at 8.48pm to reports of a house fire on Lister Lane, Undercliffe.

Aerial support units from Leeds and Cookridge also attended the scene.

A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the attic of the three-storey property was involved in fire.

The spokesperson said the cause of the fire "was deemed accidental".

Four breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used to help extinguish the fire.

Smoke detectors were fitted and working at the time of the incident.
