A TEENAGE boy on a motorbike was injured in a serious crash with a car on Harrogate Road in Bradford last night.

Police are now appealing for witnesses after a passenger on the motorbike left the scene of the serious road traffic collision on Harrogate Road, Eccleshill.

Officers were called to reports of a motorbike and Vauxhall Corsa in collision near to the junction of Moorside Road at 11.20pm last night.

The rider of the motorbike a 17-year-old male has been taken to hospital with serious but not believed to be life-threatening injuries.

A passenger on the motorbike left the scene before the police arrived.

Officers are making enquiries to identify the passenger who officers believe will have been injured in the crash.

The driver of the Corsa stopped at the scene.

The road was closed from the Leeds Road junction to the Pullan Avenue junction.

A helicopter could be seen and heard flying overhead following the incident, a resident said.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles prior to the collision or may have dashcam footage to come forward.
