A 63-YEAR-old man has been jailed for a year after being caught with a knife twice in public.
Peter Graham, of no fixed address, was spotted carrying a knife in Bradford, at Vicar Lane then in Sunbridge Road in May and June respectively this year.
Graham appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on June 28 and pleaded guilty to both charges of possessing a knife in a public place.
He was jailed for 12 months as the offence was considered to be so serious.
It also emerged in court documents that “he threatened to harm someone with a knife”.
An earlier charge of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place was withdrawn.
The knife must be forfeited and destroyed.
