A MAN who was arrested in connection with the disappearance of missing Bradford woman Somaiya Begum has been bailed, as police continue to search for her.

Somaiya, 20, was last seen at around 2pm on Saturday, June 25, at her home address on Binnie Street, off Barkerend Road, and has now been missing for over a week.

Three people – two men and a woman – were arrested and bailed following her disappearance, while another man who was also arrested remained in police custody.

He has now also been bailed, West Yorkshire Police confirmed this morning.

A police spokesperson said: “A man arrested in connection into the disappearance of missing person Somaiya Begum has been bailed pending further enquiries.”

Somaiya is described as an Asian female of slim build with black hair. She was last seen wearing black denim jeans, a black top and a black head scarf.

Forensic officers were seen at an industrial site on Thornbury Road, Thornbury, following Somaiya’s disappearance, while there was also a police presence on Binnie Street and nearby Harewood Street.

Somaiya is still a missing person and police are continuing to search for her, they added.
