A TEAM of volunteers led by Frank Sutton, Common-wealth War Graves Commission area co-ordinator, has been working hard to look after the war graves at Undercliffe Cemetery.

Says volunteer Alan Raistrick: “The CWGC Eyes on Hands on project started last year to inspect sites and monitor war graves across the country. The plan is to report any damage and maintenance needed.

“Every grave has a story to tell, of sadness and bravery, lost fathers, sons, brothers, daughters.”
