The major investigation into missing Bradford woman Somaiya Begum has entered another day, as police continue to guard sites of interest across the district.

West Yorkshire Police has made a number of arrests in connection with the 20-year-old, who was last seen at her home address on Binnie Street in Barkerend on Saturday afternoon around 2pm.

There have been no confirmed sightings or contact from her since and police are treating her disappearance as unexplained.

An industrial site on Thornbury Road, Laisterdyke, has been the focus of a police investigation since Saturday, according to witnesses, with a large cordon blocking off access to the site.

Police officers and crime scene investigators have been making enquiries at the scene throughout the week.

"Police have been here before in regards to other things, but when they were here for a couple of days and what we've now heard it's really shocking and upsetting."
