TWO incidents involving a theft and an attempted theft of vehicles have taken place in Keighley this week.

A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Police in Keighley and Shipley said: "On Monday, the owner of a company, based in Keighley, contacted West Yorkshire police to report that one of their works vehicles had not been returned by a former employee.

"The van has now been reported as stolen, it is a White VW Caddy Starline TDI. The address of the former employee has been visited and neither the van or him was present."

Speaking about an attempted theft a vehicle on Highfield Road, Keighley, a police spokesperson said: "Just after 2am on yesterday suspects were disturbed breaking into a Range Rover on Highfield Road, Keighley.

"The suspects were seen to arrive in another Range Rover, silver. Having been spotted tampering with the vehicle they make off in the silver Range Rover."
