A BRADFORD man has been banned from driving for two years after being more than three times over the drink-drive limit.
Aman Gill, of Overland Crescent in Apperley Bridge, committed the offence in Hyde Park, Leeds, last month.
The 38-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared in Leeds Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 22.
On Monday, May 16, Gill was driving a red Honda Civic on Kirkstall Road with 116 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit is 35 mgs per 100 ml of breath.
This is contrary to section 5(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
He was handed a community order which entailed treatment for alcohol dependency for nine months.
Gill was also fined £500 and has to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
